We pay particular attention at music at Rome Neotango Marathon.
We carefully selected our musicians, djs are collecting all the year the best music which can be danced with tango biomechanics, from the worldwide music production! They also put a lot of effort to increase their sensitivity and skills, which we can feel on the dancefloor.
We love our musiciansm our DJs and our VJs too, you will be pampered by a colourful rainbow of emotions.

Here is the list of the confirmed DJS…. more to come…

They love and support our neotango movement!

DJ Elio Astor (Rome) Formerly a club DJ, he started studying tango in 2003, he has been at the console as a tango dj for more than 5000 hours,
during the first years putting music in tango festivals, milongas and encuentros milongueros in Europe
and also in Buenos Aires where he was at the console of Club Fulgor, Nino Bien and the famous Salon Canning. During one of the traditional evenings he was very surprised because when he put a mixed tanda
from Orquesta Fervor de Buenos Aires "al estilo de Carlos di Sarli",
just few of the traditional dancers went to the dancefloor to dance.
After some weeks he took the same tanda, he worked on it on the pc, adding hiss and vinyl effect
deterioration, making it sound like an old vinyl. He proposed this tanda to the same milonga,
which they danced happily. So he decided to spend his time looking at the possibilities which tango has to be danced
on modern music, he was the first one to make a milonga with 100% modern music
in Italy in 2008, he was the first to introduce the hangdrum in a milonga in 2016,
he is now focusing on music production, he believes in a global tango music renaissance
made by musicians and new tango orquestas, experienced djs,
and open minded teachers who teach first steps on modern music instead retro/vintage one.

Raffaella - has been focusing on DJing in the last years, she regularly runs a neolonga in Paris
and she always offers a well-selected blend of neotango tracks, we are happy to welcome her
at the decks at Red Rabbit.

Thanos started dancing tango in 2006 . He was always been fascinated by alternative music for tango steps .
He is been organizing “Milonga Aternativa” for 4 years in different places in Athens and also was a dj @ Bremen Neotango Rave Festival
, athens tango marathon , ToRave Torino international tango Rave and Roma NeoTango Marathon . Always plays music according to the feelings of the moment and the people in the dance floor .

Thierry is above all a creative dancer who “lives” the music. He's coming from swing and blues universe before falling in love with tango. Dancer since 1998, he waited until 2016 to start
offering his own musical programming as a DJ. Of course he loves tango from the golden age, but what makes him vibrating is to open,
enrich, mix practices toward new musical and corporeal horizons.
Thierry is co-organizer of several festivals : Neo Tango Toulouse (TNT), Neo Tango Bruges (NTB), Neo Tango Amsterdam (NTA) ,
but also the Toulouse Fusion week-end (Fusion dance festival). He is Neo tango DJ, but also Blues DJ and fusion DJ

Rob Thomas has played in Germany, Britain and Portugal. He loves neotango and plays the music which brings
creative and varied energy to the dancefloor.

Andreas joined the Tango in 2005 as a photographer and has been dancing since 2006.
From the very beginning, he was interested in alternative tango.
Since 2015 he has focused his artistic work on the Vjing. Almost invariably, he uses
his own visual material. Some of them are works that have already been shown at exhibitions,
others have been created by him especially for the Vjing.
He sees the Vjing as a form with visual elements to dance to the music.
This results in a mutual influence on music, dancers and visuals.
